Joinery servicing and modifications

Adjustment, repair and considered modification of existing doors, drawers, hardware and cabinetry to restore function or suit changing needs.

Approach

Joinery changes with use. Doors settle, hinges loosen, drawers need adjustment and the way a household uses a room can evolve. A focused service visit can resolve many of these issues without replacing otherwise useful cabinetry.

Noosa Joinery assesses the existing construction and hardware before recommending repair, adjustment or modification. Work can range from aligning doors and drawers to replacing compatible hardware, altering cabinet internals or adapting selected sections for a new appliance or use.

01

Diagnose before replacing

The cause of a problem is checked first. Alignment, fixing, hardware wear and cabinet movement can present similar symptoms but require different solutions.

02

Compatible components

Replacement hinges, runners and fittings need to suit the existing cabinet construction. Older or discontinued hardware may limit the available repair options.

03

Modifications in context

Changes are planned around the original structure, finishes and services so the result remains practical and visually considered.

Common questions

Do you service joinery made by another company?

Yes, subject to the construction, condition, hardware and scope. Photos and a short description help determine whether an initial service visit is suitable.

Can existing cabinets be modified for new appliances?

Often, but it depends on the new appliance dimensions, required ventilation, services and the structure of the surrounding cabinetry. These need to be checked before work is confirmed.

Can damaged doors or panels be matched exactly?

An exact match is not always possible, particularly with aged timber, discontinued board colours or older painted finishes. The closest practical repair or replacement approach is discussed after inspection.
